Child safety standards
Zero tolerance
for child exploitation.
Effective October 23, 2026 · Vid8 by NorthLo Software Consulting
These standards are part of our Terms of Service. See also our Safety guide and Privacy Policy.
Our standard. Vid8 prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form. Vid8 is a video dating app for adults 18 and over. Anyone who creates, shares, requests, or promotes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or who uses Vid8 to groom, solicit, sexualize, or endanger a minor, is permanently banned and reported to the authorities.
What is prohibited
On Vid8 — in profiles, photos, introduction videos, chat, Spark Meets, and live video dates — you may not:
- create, upload, send, request, or link to child sexual abuse material, including drawn, animated, or AI-generated material;
- groom, solicit, or attempt to arrange contact with a minor for any sexual purpose, or sexualize a minor in any way;
- sextort, threaten, or coerce a minor, or anyone, using intimate images;
- use Vid8 to traffic or advertise the sexual services of a minor;
- let a minor appear in your photos, videos, or Spark Meets, or let a minor use your account;
- create an account if you are under 18.
How we keep minors off Vid8
- Adults only. Every member confirms a date of birth at sign-up, and accounts under 18 are refused.
- Media is reviewed before anyone sees it. Profile photos and introduction videos are checked by automated content-safety screening and approved by our moderation team before they are shown to other members.
- Spark Meets and video dates are live and time-limited. They are never recorded by Vid8, and nudity and sexual behaviour on camera are prohibited and reportable.
- Underage accounts are closed. If we learn that a member is under 18, we close the account and keep only what we need to report it and stop the person from returning.
How to report
- In the app: open the … menu on any profile, conversation, Spark Meet, or video date, tap Report, and choose Child safety concern (or Appears underage if you think a member is under 18). You can report during a live call without leaving it. Reports are confidential, and the person is not told who reported them.
- By email: write to info@vid8app.com with the member's name and what you saw. Please do not attach or forward images of a child; describe them and we will preserve the evidence ourselves.
- To the authorities directly: in Canada, report to Cybertip.ca; in the United States, report to the NCMEC CyberTipline. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
How we respond
- Child safety and underage reports alert our team the moment they are submitted, and we review them before any other kind of report.
- We remove the content and suspend the account as soon as we confirm it, and permanently ban accounts that violate these standards.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material and related activity to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and to Canadian law enforcement and child-protection authorities as required by Canada's Act respecting the mandatory reporting of Internet child pornography by persons who provide an Internet service and other applicable law.
- We preserve related records as those laws require and cooperate with valid law enforcement requests.
Compliance with child safety laws
Vid8 complies with the child safety laws that apply to it, including those of Canada and the United States, and with the Google Play and Apple App Store child safety requirements. These standards apply worldwide wherever Vid8 is available.
