Delete your
associated data.
Use this page to request that Vid8 delete the personal data associated with your account. You do not need the app installed.
To close the account itself, use the account deletion page. See also our Privacy Policy. Support: info@vid8app.com.
Request data deletion in writing. Send a message from the email address on your account using our contact form (info@vid8app.com) with the topic “Delete my data.” We will verify that you control that address, then delete the associated personal data. We respond within 30 days. Please do not include passwords or payment card numbers.
Deleting the account also deletes this data
If you want the account closed as well, use the account deletion page or delete it yourself in the app (Profile → Account → Delete my account) or on the website after you log in (Account → Security). That path deletes the account and the associated data listed below in one step.
What data is deleted
When we complete a data deletion request we delete:
- Profile details, bio, prompts, interests, photos, and introduction video.
- Discovery, chat, and dating preferences.
- Roster entries (yours and others pointing at you), passes, votes, and notifications.
- Location coordinates, if you shared an approximate location.
- Google or Apple identity links, sessions, and sign-in tokens.
Photos and introduction video are removed from our storage systems within 30 days of the request.
What we keep, and why
We retain only what we must, as described in the Privacy Policy:
- Blocks and reports — so a request cannot erase a safety record, generally up to 24 months, or longer for an ongoing investigation or legal hold.
- Messages you already sent — they remain in the recipient’s conversation history.
- Invoices and subscription records — up to seven years, for tax and accounting.
- Audit logs and an internal identifier — so we can honour blocks and prevent a banned person from returning.
How long it takes
Email requests are completed within 30 days of verification. Self-serve account deletion, which also deletes this data, takes effect immediately. NorthLo Software Consulting operates Vid8 at vid8app.com.
